Earlier this week, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced new General Aviation operational restrictions and airport closures across the United States. These changes may significantly impact both current and future travel plans for business and leisure flyers alike.

Effective immediately, the following 12 major airports will remain closed to General Aviation (private jets) operations until further notice or December 31, 2025:
Boston Logan International (KBOS)
Chicago O’Hare International (KORD)
Denver International (KDEN)
George Bush Intercontinental (KIAH)
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (KATL)
Los Angeles International (KLAX)
Newark Liberty International (KEWR)
Reagan National (KDCA)
Seattle-Tacoma International (KSEA)
These closures follow capacity restrictions on commercial airlines and are expected to remain in place until the conclusion of the government shutdown and further notice.
At BJETS, our operations team is actively assessing all affected and upcoming flights. We’re in continuous communication with authorities to monitor changes and provide alternative travel solutions as they arise.
