In a remarkable achievement, Bombardier’s Global 7500 business jet has now broken more speed records than any other aircraft in its class, totaling an unprecedented 135 records. These include notable city-pair routes such as Tokyo to San Francisco, London to Riyadh, Oakland to Tokyo, Hartford to Dubai, Tokyo to Toronto, and Montreal to Paris, showcasing its incredible performance across the globe.

Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense, emphasized the significance of these milestones, stating, “This is the ultimate recognition—more speed records than any other business aircraft. It’s exactly what our discerning customers need: a reliable, fast, and efficient tool to reach their destinations quickly and effectively.”
What makes these achievements even more impressive is that some records were set with passengers onboard under varying conditions and at different airports, a true testament to the aircraft’s exceptional engineering and performance capabilities. The Global 7500’s speed and reliability support critical missions and busy schedules for elite clients worldwide.
Earlier notable feats include the longest recorded flight in business aviation—a staggering 8,225 nautical miles from Sydney to Detroit—highlighting the aircraft’s impressive range and endurance.
Recently, Bombardier celebrated the inauguration of its new Innovation and Design Centre in Greater Montreal. This facility aims to foster customer-centric design and innovation projects independently from ongoing aircraft development programs, ensuring continuous evolution and tailored solutions for clients.
Additionally, Bombardier announced a significant order for 50 Challenger and Global aircraft, valued at $1.7 billion, with deliveries expected to start in 2027. The deal also includes a “first-of-a-kind” service agreement and purchase options for an additional 70 aircraft, potentially surpassing $4 billion if all options are exercised.
The Global 7500’s record-breaking performance cements its reputation as the ultimate business jet—combining speed, range, and engineering excellence to meet the demanding needs of today’s elite travelers.
